ARGYLE LADIES RETAIN THEIR STATUS IN THE FA WOMEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE (SOUTHERN) DIVISION

Argyle's ladies retained their status in the FA WPL (Southern Division) by finishing 10th in the League ahead of Gillingham and Keynsham Town who were both relagated.

Another tough season saw the ladies struggle on their travels, failing to register an away win and picking up only three draws all season.

A lot of their falings were due to their overall fitness levels and the vast amount of travelling required in this division.

This will be one of the first things that new manager Kevin Taylor will have to address when he takes up his position, with a view to increasng the amount of training per week as a starter.

The Ladies had a disappointing run in all the cup competitions, losing narrowly to C & K Basildon at home 3-2 in the 2nd Round  FA Womens Cup whilst also going out in the 2nd Round of the FA WPL League Cup to eventual winners Charlton Athletic.

Most disappointingly the ladies lost 1-0 in the Quarter Finals of the Devon Senior Cup to Alphington Ladies; The first time that Argyle have failed to reach at least the Semi Finals in the last 14 years.

Losing to a team three tiers blow in the Women's game is something the ladies will desperately want to put right next season with regaiing the Devon Senior Cup being a major target next term.
