A terrific all round performance by Plymouth Argyle Ladies in front of 377 fans at Devon HQ saw them to this comfortable victory over their plucky opponents.
It saw striker Natasha Knapman taking her seasons tally to 50 while the team recorded over 100 goals for the season.
In a match well refereed by Simon Mann, Argyle started on the front foot and took a 12th minute lead when player of the match Zoe Cunningham was fouled leaving Kate Middleton to fire in the spot kick.
Cunningham was proving to be a live wire on the left and a quick break ended with her shot being saved.
And it was Cunningham again who was scythed down in the penalty area in the 23rd minute leaving Middleton to slam in her second penalty.
Cunningham continued to terrorise the Torquay defence with her darting runs which resulted in her shooting narrowly wide.
And it was Cunningham whose fierce drive was blocked leaving Kayley Lane to force the ball over the goal line in the 38th minute.
Mollie Taylor then worked her way down the right wing before producing a superb cross but Natasha Knapman headed straight at the goalkeeper.
Torquay then had a rare attack but goalkeeper Sarah Prior came off her line quickly to block the on rushing Sian Chapman. And it was Taylor who fed Cunningham whose low shot rebounds off the post into the arms of the Torquay goalkeeper.
Any hopes Torquay had of getting something out of the game were dashed three minutes into the second half when predatory striker Knapman fired home.
Cunningham continued to dictate the game when she put through Knapman but her shot was saved by Beth Marshall.
Cunningham then flashed a free kick just over the crossbar.
Argyles first substitution came in the 63rd minute when Becky Dandridge who had taken a knock was replaced by Amber Pollock.
There was a long delay when Torquay goalkeeper Beth Marshall went off injured.
The game was virtually being played in the Torquay half with Dani Barr shooting wide. Argyles fifth goal came in the 70th minute and was the goal of the game as a terrific round of inter passing that started from Prior on the edge of the 18 yard box dummy Chapman and five passes later ended with Lane firing the ball into the roof of the net.
Kayleigh Brown then came on for Dani Barr.
A superb Lane cross was headed in by Knapman but it was ruled out for offside. Phoebe Baker then replaced Mollie Taylor.
Argyle completed the rout with three goals in the last nine minutes.
A great run and cross from Darcey Hepworth was headed in at the far post by Knapman, Lane completed her hat trick when heading a Brown corner, leaving Knapman to also complete her hat trick after a Middleton shot was blocked which caused confusion in the Torquay defence.
