PLYMOUTH Argyle Ladies are delighted to announce the introduction of a brand new reserve team to support the growing ambitions of the first-team.
After securing the services of manager Dave Leonard for next season, the Ladies are keen to expand the scope of their club, attracting a new crop of talented players to the Plymouth Argyle family.
The reserves will come under the stewardship of manager Garry Harris and his assistant Lee Bargery, with the main emphasis placed on recruiting players aged from 16 – 19, so we can help them develop into players capable of achieving success in the first-team.
The new team will compete in the Devon County Women’s League and will operate under the umbrella of Argyle Community Trust.
“It is the logical step forward for Plymouth Argyle Ladies to develop a reserve team, offering further opportunities for talented players to join our club,” said Trust manager Mark Lovell.
“Any successful team needs competition for places
and we are very hopeful of operating two sides competing at the right end of their respective divisions.”
Plymouth Argyle Ladies would like to thank the Football Foundation for providing us access to a Grow the Game grant in helping to form the new team.
